Being a Third Culture Kid (TCK)-- parents from two different countries (USA and The Netherlands), born in yet another country (Scotland), and then raised in still many more other countries-- was chaotic to say the least, but, also exciting, and, actually, a privilege. It opened Sophie's eyes, heart, and soul, to a world of many different cultures and feelings! From watching Russian actors do Chekov in Moscow, to watching Dutch and English films, to being mesmerized by plays on Broadway and the West End, she found herself keenly observing and longing to do what those people on stage and film did.

 

Her training started in England at the London School of Film, Media and Performance and fromthere went on to attend The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, completing a 2 year conservatory program. She went on to being accepted into the Academy's theatre company and was a featured actor in their '13-'14 season of shows.

 

In 2014, Sophie premiered as the role of “Another Stepsister” with Douglas Carter Beane's new show 'Fairycakes' in New York City. She is so excited to be a part of This Is Jamie as the role of “Khloe” and to also be directing the series! Her directing debut!
